Trey, that's two posts in a row where your title has been in all caps. Watch yourself, or you'll leave the realm of exuberant for the land of tacky.
And nobody likes the land of tacky.
Similar to the land of tacky is Florida (deepest apologies to all Floridians), where there are FAR TOO MANY things that are made out of fake oranges. I mean, come on. Oranges shouldn't be used to decorate things. They just shouldn't.
Anyway, I am now home, a little worse for the wear, a little terrified of the sun (photophobia ftw) again, but with a video to put together for y'all's enjoyment.
(Who says it wasn't a productive vacation? I learned a new language: southern!)
(Again, not trying to be offensive. It's just that there's different words used in different ways. Like "y'all's" and "up the road apiece." It's fact.)
Anyway, since I live in a family of crazies, my mother made us go to a rodeo. A RODEO. Sweetfreakinglord.
But, because I participate in this project, and I realized the hilarity of it all, I took some footage for you, my little friends. I apologize for the poor video quality; I had to be a little secretive. But seriously, people: Rodeo Video Montage.
(Set to terrible country music.)
(Also, some of the pictures are a little strange because it was dark out.)
Without futher ado:
Enjoy. Real video to come soon.
Love,
Gracey
One might think, given the fact that we've been talking about primiaries and how much we enjoy them on and off for the past month, that I would post about Super Tuesday's being today. I'm not going to.
It surprised me, too, Trey. It really did.
Instead I'm going to talk about the fabulous walk that I took this morning, while you were in school, and I wasn't, because I have off and you don't.
Ahem.
I actually thought about taking my camera, and making up for the slacking off in the video department, but by the time this thought occurred to me, I was about five minutes away from home, and at that point turning back was ridiculous. But if I go out again later--which I might, 'cause I'm feeling really outdoorsy today--I'll take it.
[WARNING: Gracey's about to get momentarily poetic. You may need to avert your eyes]
I wish I could make you understand how pretty it was, though. I mean, things were damp, and it was windy, and kind of chilly, but it was still really nice. And I was walking down the road, and cars were going past me, which smells like Orlando, Florida in my opinion. And I might dislike going to Florida every year intesnsely (sorry Flordians--it's because of my nutball family), it's still a time of relaxation. And I was walking slow, and I went and bought a bagel because we didn't have any good food at my house.
And the wind was blowing, and making my hair go in my mouth a little, but still, it was great. And the air smelled nice, and I'm trying to tell you so hard that my writer's sensibilities aren't even upset that I'm starting every sentence with 'and'.
I really wished you could have come with me. You school sucks.
[End of possible poetic-ness.]
On the note of videos, you owe me one, buddy. Also, in light of your actually being ALLERGIC to yogurt, I've decided that you can substitute hummus, if you want. Only they don't sell little containers of hummus, so you have to eat one regular size container of hummus.
(Go with the yogurt. Really.)
Talk to you later. It's Super Tuesday!
Love,
Gracey
Okay, so there's been some weird sort of internet coup. Vox is suddenly different. :Gracey looks around with shifty, scared eyes, in a panicked sort of way: In case you didn't know this, Trey, I have this weird sort of change-phobia, where all things that change kind of send me into a panic for a while.
Like when my mom painted my room while I wasn't home? Yeah, the fact that my room was suddenly orange freaked the hell out of me for a while. Then the paint fumes cleared my system and I got over it.
So, this video. I swear, I'm planning on doing it tomorrow. However, there's the slight issue that my grandmother is coming for her annual three-week January visit, which questions my privacy. I mean, yeah, it does have the good effect that I have to clean my room, so you'll see clean space as opposed to miscellaneous crap behind my video self.
But if she's floating around sketchily, as people in this house are wont to do, I'm not lip-syncing to Britney Spears. Sorry, buddy. Not happening.
Actually, there's a long list of things that would cause me to not make that video. I shall review some of them: my death, if I mysteriously have a date, nuclear armageddon, my house catching on fire, computer crash, worldwide pandemic of TB. The list goes on and on.
Expect a video tomorrow/Sunday.
Alright. In light of our agreement/disagreement session, I have several things to comment upon.
First: I'm not sure I believe you about the comics. Everyone loves comics on some level. Even me. And you know how many times I've read/seen Pride and Prejudice. So, I think that underneath it all, you love them just a little.
"Russians make the best artists, like Rachmaninoff! And Ayn Rand! YAY for ATLAS SHRUGGED"
Could you have picked any more unrelated Russians? I mean, unless you picked LENIN and Ayn Rand. Also, I'm a fan of The Fountainhead and Anthem. The latter especially; short but sweet.
I cannot believe that you said the words "I have a rainbow fetish." I hope you relize that I didn't mean it in that way. I meant it in the utterly embarassing, I'd make even a pathetic six year old girl, please someone drown me sort of way.
Yes, that way.
I can't believe you've never seen Ghost or American Pie. NEITHER? REALLY?
I mean, yeah, they're both the most terrible movies in the history of forever (except maybe The City of Joy, also starring Patrick Swayze, as it turns out), but everone's heard of them, and most everyone's seen them. I will admit, I have not seen Ghost in its entirety, but that could very well be because I had to go and throw up.
So, as for music right now, I'm not actually going to talk about a particular band. I'm going to break out a megalith of musical wealth. Use it wisely, people.
Naturally, I refer to the godly Pandora.com. What Pandora Radio is, is an online radio of sorts, where you can listen to 'stations' based entirely off of the kind of music you like to hear.
What you do, is enter the name of a band that you're listening to. Then, Pandora's magic elves will find you songs that are either by said band, or have similar influences to said band, or sound similar to said band. You can create and save any number of stations (right now I have about five), and edit or delete the stations you already have.
The only catch is that you have to sign up using an email account, and that you can only skip so many songs per hour. After that, you have to listen to everything they throw at you, or change stations. But other than that, it's quite possibly one of the more excellent things in life. I'm telling you, people. This stuff is golden.
You really can't go wrong with Pandora.com, if you like anything from Vivaldi to Maximo Park, to R.E.M. to Snoop Dog.
Here's some conventient linkage:
Other than that, I have seven exams coming up in less than two weeks, and my brain is slowly atrophying. Soon I'll have zero grey matter. I can only assume that, at that point, my posts will stop. I'm sure Trey will relay the news of my sad inability to think.
Actually, it probably won't be that sad for me. I'll probably wind up being very stupidly content, and just eat chocolates all day, and not even worry that I'm fat and lazy and stupid, because I'll be too mindless to ever realize it.
I'm kidding people, kidding.
Mostly.
Love,
Gracey
YAY!
We finally got a commenter/guest/possible fan, even though Gracey already knows her. Oh well, everyone is good!
Anyways.
We're finally back in school (FINALLY) so this explains our sporadic posts. I'm so excited, cause school is absolutely amazing. Best place on Earth, except of course, Gracey's house. Her amazing mom lives there, and more importantly, Gracey does. I'm so tired of physics. We have a love-hate relationship (sometimes involving the gorgeous and perfect teacher). Like today, I hate it because I did terrible on a quiz because I read the question wrong and I think I failed. Otherwise, love the subject.
So Gracey should have our FIRST video sometime up in the following week, and let me tell you something, we are TOO funny, not to mention breathtakingly beautiful. I got to watch Gracey do her makeup before hand, and I almost tried some cover up myself. What an adventure that was. I've had bad experiences with makeup. My friend tried giving me a make over, and the eyeliner ended up in my eyeball, along with some nice mascara (which in the end, made my eyelashes look SUPERB). The eyeliner wasn't even the right color! My eyes are hazel, thank you, not bright blue. I'll post the picture when the video gets up. That same night, I got into a cute pink halter top that was a few sizes too big (I stuffed though) and a REALLY short mini-skirt that was nice and tight. I have pictures of that too.
I have to finish some homework. Till next time <3
