Something that's newfound with your new teenager status, I texted you today on the matter that you need to make a video. I'd completely forgotten that you started work today (!!!).

On another note, that's hilarious. You know that you work at the funniest food chain known to man. I take great delight in hearing about your exploits, and you've only been having them for, what, an hour?

Anyway, because I felt bad about texting you on the job, I decided to be a suckup and edit (well, I started with the intent of editing) the video. I can't even post it, because it's too long. However, Trey, I'll email it to you. (And to anyone else who's interested, I suppose.)

So, yeah, when you're feeling up to it, just let me know, savvy?

Like whoa.

I think everyone should mark today, February 18th, 2008, as the day that I have finally reached regular teenager status. I finally got the power to text, so I feel like now my teenage years have been completed. Of course, there is a downside to this victory. A local unnamed food chain has taken my social life away from me in exchange for minimum wage being a cash register, so saying hi to the customers is going to be the extent of my social life for the next year. I don't mind too much because I like greeting strangers, and especially the large amount of senior citizens who shop at this store. Plus, we have some gorgeous people in our town, who will be fun to stare at.

This also happens to be the day that my brother (who's 12 and ugly) has his first friend who's a girl over my house. It's a pretty big deal. I think he's just breached the "OMG GIRLS HAVE COOTIES" stage, which is sad. I liked making fun of him for that. And like whoa, she just arrived! I'd take a video of the first greeting and the entire visit and post it on here if it wasn't creepy.

And I agree, we should do a super secret surprise thing.

Anyways, I must be off to write a historical newspaper about colonial America!

Planned Title Got Too Long

I was going to name this post after the elements that I wanted to include in it, but then I realized that there were so many of them that I wanted to talk about that it really didn't fit in a practical title.

First thing I'm planning to discuss is lonelygirl15, which you spoke to me about earlier today, Trey, and which I'm watching a little bit of now. You told me that it started out with the actress in the video posing as a regular girl, doing this from her bedroom. But, she's been an actress in other things, namely Greek.

I'm realizing that the only people on the planet who could have realized that are probably you, me, M and J. Nobody really ever watched that show. BUT IT'S COMING BACK! HOW EXCITING!

Sorry about the caps.

So, yeah, it's pretty cool so far (I've only watched about three episodes, which constitutes a total of about four minutes, but whatever).

Aw, hell.

It would appear that my stepmother is here to pick up my siblings. Now, there's something you need to understand: I really do love my stepfamily. It's just that sometimes they get to me. And she's been being all guilttrippy because I haven't been coming down often, which I haven't been doing because they pick on me when I'm there for not coming down often.

Really, people. Nagging me about it is not going to make me come more often. It's going to make me come LESS often. And it also serves just to make me feel sorta bad about myself. And makes me think that I really can't wait to move out. Which is true. In like two years I'll be going to college, and I'm gonna go someplace far enough that nobody's gonna be able to get mad if I don't come home very often.

Sorry.

What I'm saying, though, is that probably the only people who would detect a correlation between Bree and Jen K are our lovely selves. Too bad we never watched lonelygirl15.

The second thing I'm going to talk about is college. As some of you may know, Trey and I are both in the latter end of our sophomore year, and we both (well, I'm pretty sure you did) took the PSATs in October. What that means is that the College Board has just recently started distributing our information to schools around the country. For Trey, he's mostly getting science-y schools, being a brilliant future scientist, and for me, it means I'm getting a lot of offers from liberal arts schools.

And by offers, I mean that they're sending me their packages, asking me to respond, with handy pre-paid postage, because they want us to explore their schools. This brings to my attention just how many colleges there are out there. I mean, I'm mostly getting schools from the Northeast, and I'm still getting a lot. That's only a small part of the country. That's a lot of things to choose from. And you can only choose one.

Trey knows that I'm very bad at choosing things. That's why I'm the kind of girl who buys the same lunch in the cafeteria every day, frequents the same websites, has the same morning routine.... I don't like change, because I don't like choosing which changes to make. So this whole college thing is freaky.

So, if there's anyone reading this that is either in college, thinking about college, or graduated from college (especially the first and third) let me know the pros and cons of those places. Seriously. Because I'm freaking out over it, and I still have over a year to decide. That's not good. That means that I can potentially freak out for two more years.

Nobody wants to have a neurotic Gracey on their hands for two years.

The third thing I'm going to talk about is romance.

Oh, come on. Who doesn't like romance?

And it's particluarly topical, considering the whole VD fiasco this week. I mean, not that there was a fiasco for me. But there always is one, somewhere. Any fiascos, my darling readers? I had something of an adventure (only really interesting to me; nothing big) yesterday, one day late.

Which was nice.

But what I was really saying with the romance section is that I would like to invite you all to be my Valentines. I realize that today is not Valentine's Day, and that I'm a girl, and that mostifnotall of you are girls. And I realize that I'm just words popping up on a screen...

But I feel like that actually makes for an excellent Valentine. I won't break your heart, and it can be deliciously platonic. Also, if we're all the Valentine's of each other, then we'll all have our various insecurities scolded into sumbission.

"Silly insecurities! You have no reason to exist! I have a bajillion Valentine's!"

Okay, I admit that a bajillion might be a stretch. But, you know, I try.

(In case you haven't noticed, this is a very interactive post. It won't work unless you reply. Please. Like I just said, I'm sort of a nutballer. I like when people respond to my pleas for attention. I'm only half joking here, people.)

I'm going to wrap things up now, both because this is a heniously long post, and because I have to expend a lot of energy avoiding everyone in my family except for my father. (I don't even live with my dad. Those are the dregs, people.) So I wish you all a good day, and I'm going to go see if I can ferret out someone who wants to go to a Save Darfur concert with me at a local temple, featuring local bands.

In case you were wondering, I'm still in my pajama pants. And it's like three in the afternoon. And I've done next to nothing productive. Except maybe this post.

I'm so proud of you for making a new video! You are a beast. And I still haven't done my video yet! Seriously, if you had as much homework as I've had these past two weeks, you wouldn't be blogging either.

Anyways, I found this beast of a song on iTunes today and I think Gracey might actually like it. We also said we wanted a music section, so I decided to post in it. It's called New Soul and it's by Yael Naim, a French/Israeli singer! This song was featured on the new Mac commercial for the AirBook I believe. Her voice reminds me of Regina Spektor and the music reminds me of Feist. Not to mention that she's SO PRETTY. It's such a beast and cute song, and lucky for you, I attached the video! I also downloaded another song of hers, but I haven't gotten a chance to listen to it. I guarentee it's going to be awesome.

Unexpected!

One might think, given the fact that we've been talking about primiaries and how much we enjoy them on and off for the past month, that I would post about Super Tuesday's being today. I'm not going to.

It surprised me, too, Trey. It really did.

Instead I'm going to talk about the fabulous walk that I took this morning, while you were in school, and I wasn't, because I have off and you don't.

Ahem.

I actually thought about taking my camera, and making up for the slacking off in the video department, but by the time this thought occurred to me, I was about five minutes away from home, and at that point turning back was ridiculous. But if I go out again later--which I might, 'cause I'm feeling really outdoorsy today--I'll take it.

[WARNING: Gracey's about to get momentarily poetic. You may need to avert your eyes]

I wish I could make you understand how pretty it was, though. I mean, things were damp, and it was windy, and kind of chilly, but it was still really nice. And I was walking down the road, and cars were going past me, which smells like Orlando, Florida in my opinion. And I might dislike going to Florida every year intesnsely (sorry Flordians--it's because of my nutball family), it's still a time of relaxation. And I was walking slow, and I went and bought a bagel because we didn't have any good food at my house.

And the wind was blowing, and making my hair go in my mouth a little, but still, it was great. And the air smelled nice, and I'm trying to tell you so hard that my writer's sensibilities aren't even upset that I'm starting every sentence with 'and'.

I really wished you could have come with me. You school sucks.

[End of possible poetic-ness.]

On the note of videos, you owe me one, buddy. Also, in light of your actually being ALLERGIC to yogurt, I've decided that you can substitute hummus, if you want. Only they don't sell little containers of hummus, so you have to eat one regular size container of hummus.

(Go with the yogurt. Really.)

So confused.

Yeah so, I'd respond to some of what dear Gracey wrote, but I either have no idea what she's talking about or I can't add anything.

ANYWAYS.

This week was another sad week for Miss Britney Spears. She was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance for "mental help" apparently. I would like to request a moment of silence when you read this in honor of her mental sanity! (And Gracey, that means you too.) We all know we love her deep down inside.

So right now, it's really cold here and my parents refuse to put on the heat. Instead, they just wear 27 layers of clothing and let me tell you something, it's not flattering. I decide to be fashionable and freeze because fashion is more important than personal comfort.

Also, Heath Ledger's autopsy reports should be coming out either this weekend or early next week, so we'll have plenty of time to store tears to cry when we hear the news.
